Love. What is love?Is it having the person you say you love by your side, or letting them go for their happiness? Is that love?The answer is no. At least, not for me. I grew up in a home where my father gave my mother a nickname just forty-eight hours after their wedding.

And it wasn’t a love marriage.

So, does calling someone by a nickname mean it’s love? No. Love isn’t about possessing someone. It’s about earning their trust. It’s about being their comfort in pain, their partner in joy. Love is knowing there’s a shoulder to cry on when life breaks you down—a hand that wipes your tears without asking why. It’s sitting beside them in silence and still being heard.
